Social Media Conference NW 2010, Evolving Marketing Conversations
The Social Media Conference NW 2010 (SMCNW 2010) was a collaborative partnership between the Center for Economic Vitality (CEV) and the Technology Alliance Group for NW Washington (TAG). We wanted to create a "social media experience" for attendees to learn about social media. For the first time a SMCNW 2010 Event Day Blog was created. The social media learning experience was held March 25, 2010.
The 2010 conference was built on the success of the 2008 conference to continue dialogue about using social media for marketing, customer service and public relations. While the 2008 was all about the new social media tools, the discussion needed to move to strategies around using social media to help achieve strategic business goals.
For the first time a Social Media Rockstars contest was held. The winners were:
Over 284 attendees came from California, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, Washington, D.C., Wyoming, Vancouver, B.C. Canada and Washington state.
