Jenny Spurgin
Jenny has been with the Center for Economic Vitality since 2008. She has a diverse background which includes everything from transportation to marketing to insurance. Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, she gained significant experience in tourism, working with a Poulsbo-based business operating both a whale watching fleet and a sister transportation company.
While obtaining her undergraduate degree at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Jenny fell in love with the place and people. She used her education and experience to work as a project manager and bookkeeper for a local marketing consulting firm. Upon graduation, Jenny took a position at the corporate headquarters of a national insurer, working primarily in IT related implementations as a project manager and a business analyst. While in the position, the company underwent an acquisition and Jenny was involved in the project team tasked with executing on over 100 projects to complete the transition.
Jenny enjoys the quest for information and is a researcher by nature. She finds working with clients tremendously rewarding and has recently begun the evening master's in business administration program at Western Washington University to supplement her business savvy.
While not at work (or school!), Jenny enjoys swimming, camping, trips back to Juneau, and playing soccer with her husband Sean.
